The London Bridge Arches
As part of the restoration of Glaziers Hall, the London Bridge Arches will feature a wine cellar. Access to the cellar from the event arches will further enhance a wine tasting event or dinner.
The Grade II listed Yorkstone paving, original Georgian brick arches and foundations of the original London Bridge provide a wealth of historical features. The Georgian brick arches will uplit with LED lighting and glass portholes inviting guests to view into the cellar. The cellar features a bespoke and temperature controlled environment including ceiling mounted climate control systems to house the wine.
“We considered a number of design decisions to ensure the prominence of heritage features in the London Bridge Arches.” explains Samanatha Enstone, Managing Director of Glaziers Hall.
With the Hall’s prime location and heritage there has been keen interest in using the space for wine tastings and dinners. “This heritage installation in particular is a passion for their team” comments Tim Lewis, Managing Director of Sorrells. “A restoration project such as this has the opportunity to highlight a buildings original features and proudly display London’s history.”
